No. Due to legal restrictions, YouTube videos cannot be downloaded with this app. The app works with videos you find while browsing other websites in the built-in browser. Please only download content you own or have permission to save.

Yes. Downloads run in the background with a progress notification, so you can keep using your phone. You can pause and resume individual downloads, or resume all at once. To make sure background downloads work smoothly, allow the app's notification permission when asked.
The private folder is a PIN-locked vault. Videos you move into it are hidden from your normal gallery and only you can watch them. When you set your PIN you can also add a recovery email — if you ever forget the PIN, the app can send it to that address so you don't lose access to your videos.
