Summary
Grok Automation runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third-party server. The only network requests it makes are those grok.com itself makes when you submit prompts — the extension acts as an automated user agent on the page you're already using.
Data the extension handles

None of this data leaves your device. No server owned by the extension developer receives any of it.
Network requests made by the extension
- grok.com — the content script reads the DOM of grok.com pages you visit and triggers submission events. This is the only origin the extension contacts.
- Image/video downloads — when a result is ready, the extension asks Chrome to download the file URL grok.com served. Chrome's downloads system handles the network request directly; the extension only passes the URL.
The extension does not contact:
- Analytics services
- Crash reporters
- Update or telemetry servers
- Any developer-owned backend
Permissions used and why
- storage — persist your prompts, references, and settings on your device
- tabs — find your grok.com tab to send batch messages
- sidePanel — show the extension UI as a side panel
- activeTab — open the side panel from the toolbar
- downloads — save generated media into your chosen folder
- notifications — show a desktop notification when a batch finishes (toggleable)
- host_permissions: *://grok.com/* — required for the content script to run on grok.com only
Premium subscriptions (if applicable)
If you purchase a Premium subscription, payment is processed by our payment partner (Razorpay / Lemon Squeezy / Stripe — see the checkout page). The payment processor receives only the information you provide during checkout (name, email, billing details). We receive a record of your subscription status (email + plan tier) so we can grant access to Premium features. We do not see or store your card details.
Premium feature unlock is tied to your email address. To exercise your subscription rights or request data deletion, email us at the contact address below.
Third-party services
None used by the extension itself. The website (the one you're reading this on) uses standard web fonts loaded from Google Fonts CDN and Tailwind CSS loaded from a CDN — both are commonly cached and do not identify visitors.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected by bumping the "Last updated" date above. Substantial changes will be communicated via the extension's update notes on the Chrome Web Store.
