1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Tags Tool ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application. Tags Tool is a YouTube SEO assistant that helps creators generate video tags, research keywords, analyze trending content, and optimize titles and descriptions.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This policy is designed to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, the Google Play User Data policy, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. The categories below describe what may be collected.
2.1 Information you provide
- Search queries and keywords you type to generate tags or research keywords.
- Support communications — if you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data — device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, and unique mobile identifiers (such as the advertising ID).
- Usage and analytics data — features used, screens viewed, taps, session duration, and interaction events, collected to improve the App.
- Crash and diagnostic data — stack traces, device state, and logs captured when the App crashes or experiences errors.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address or device region for ad delivery and analytics. We do not collect precise GPS location.
2.3 Information from purchases
- In-app purchase and subscription status — managed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of a successful purchase and your entitlement (e.g., Pro/Premium), but we never receive or store your full payment card details. All payments are processed by Google Play.
2.4 Information we do NOT collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, files, SMS, or call logs.
- We do not ask for your YouTube login credentials, and we do not access your private YouTube account or post on your behalf.
3. YouTube Data and the YouTube API Services
Tags Tool uses the YouTube Data API Services to provide public data such as video tags, titles, descriptions, view counts, and trending/search results.
- By using the App, you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Information accessed through the YouTube API is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
- The App only accesses publicly available YouTube data through the official API and does not access any private user data from YouTube.
- We cache YouTube API responses temporarily to improve performance and reduce data usage; this cached public data can be cleared by clearing the App's storage.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide core features — generate tags, research keywords, and analyze public videos.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App's performance and reliability.
- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and monitor stability.
- Display and measure advertisements (for free users).
- Process and validate in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Deliver in-app messages, important notices, and feature announcements.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services
The App relies on trusted third-party services that may process limited data under their own privacy policies:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Advertising (free version) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Usage analytics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Remote Config | Feature configuration | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase In-App Messaging | In-app notices | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | In-app purchases | policies.google.com/privacy |
| YouTube Data API | Public video/tag data | policies.google.com/privacy |
These providers may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in their respective policies. We encourage you to review them.
6. Advertising
The free version of Tags Tool displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and approximate location to show relevant ads and measure ad performance.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization, or reset your advertising ID at any time.
- Learn how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Purchasing the Pro/Premium version removes ads.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information only:
- With service providers listed in Section 5, strictly to operate the App.
- For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.
- To protect rights and safety — to enforce our terms or protect against fraud, security threats, or harm to users.
- In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
8. Data Retention
- Analytics and crash data are retained for as long as needed for analysis and then deleted or anonymized according to Firebase's default retention settings.
- Cached YouTube data is stored temporarily on your device and can be cleared by clearing the App's cache/storage.
- Support emails are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your request.
You can remove most locally stored data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted network connections (HTTPS) for data in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Tags Tool is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at i1s.abhishekp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.

CCPA (California users): You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any right, email i1s.abhishekp@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country, including by Google's global infrastructure. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data protection laws.
13. Consent Management
On first launch (where required), the App may ask for your consent to analytics and personalized advertising. You can change your choices at any time through your device's ad settings or by contacting us.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
